Why Infrared?

Infrared heat is very gentle. Infrared heat warms the body within you on a cellular level and is effective at a more comfortable temperature, between 110°-150°F, producing a deep sweat composed of 20% toxins as opposed to just 3% toxins with a traditional sauna.

Why Cold Plunge?

Our cold plunge drops the water temperature between 39°F to 48°F lining up with the research to allow optimum benefits of cryotherapy in as little as 2-3 minutes. While also not unnecessarily exposing our bodies to subarctic temperatures.

Ancient Tradition

Hot cold therapy is an ancient practice, used for centuries by people all over the world.

The contrast therapy experience begins as you alternate between hot and cold therapy treatments, cycling between infrared sauna, cold plunge, and rest. It improves blood circulation, helps you de-stress, and stimulates your body and mind.

Today, this therapy is often used by athletes, creatives, and anyone in between to relax and awaken your senses. It allows people of all ages to better care for their bodies.

Each contrast session is 35 minutes and involves repeating our cycle twice.

The Ease Contrast Cycle

HEAT: nine minutes

Toast yourself in our full-spectrum infrared sauna.

COLD: three minutes

Plunge into refreshing 55-degree water.

REST: three minutes

Sit down and relax! Your body will ease back into homeostasis!

An infrared sauna session is similar to lying in the sun on a warm day and feeling the heat radiate to the core of your body. A cold plunge session feels like jumping into a pool in late fall early winter. Alternating between the hot and cold will have your senses tingling.

Build up to a 3 minute cold shower in the weeks preceding your session.

We provide towels and shower products in the room to make sure your experience is optimal.

Keep an eye on your body. If you begin to feel too hot, too cold, or simply overstimulated, stop the therapy immediately and inform a staff member. It’s a good idea to consult with your doctor before starting hot and cold therapy. This is especially true if you have been diagnosed with any type of heart condition, circulatory concerns, or paralysis.

Many athletes use it as part of their daily routine to speed up the healing process and reduce pain. If you are experiencing muscle soreness, inflammation, or joint pain, using hot and cold therapy may help to relieve those symptoms.

Contrast therapy has also been associated with a number of impressive benefits:

  • Mood Regulation
  • Inflammation Management
  • Chronic Pain Reduction
  • Physical Performance
  • Age & Longevity
  • Immune Function
  • Increased Metabolism
  • Weight Loss Aid
  • Improves Red Blood Cell Count

The peak benefits of contrast therapy are best enjoyed as a result of a regular routine. While clients will experience benefits from a single treatment, we recommend doing contrast therapy three to five times a week for the first two weeks. This will induce cumulative effects in the body. After that, maintenance as needed to sustain the benefits.
